Jared Mazlish
Extreme Skier, Co-Owner Fatypus
Jared Mazlish started his skiing career in the early 90's on the Bud mogul tour. After about 6 years competing in moguls he made the move to big mountain skiing on the world freeskiing tour which he then did for another ten years. After being ranked in the top 15 in world tour standings and claiming the record for the largest cliff drop in competition, 120 feet, he decided to retire from competition and start a ski company with his long time friend Dave Gelhaar. Together they formed Fat-ypus skis and launched their first ski model, the A-lotta, which was the first ever and original "superfat" ski on the market. With the success of this ski and other models to follow, Fat-ypus has proved to be a strong company in the industry and has created a reputation for making durable skis that are versatile in their performance, while being on the cutting edge of the industries needs and direction. Another strength added to the Fat-ypus company concept is its Athlete team. Team member's like John Mason, Kent Hyden, Matt Luszkow, Ben Wheeler, and Jesse Ambrogi-Yanson are all top athletes on today's world freeskiing tour and continue to help in the necessary process in research and development of the new models and improvements for Fat-ypus skis.
